Former West Ham manager David Moyes claims he’s wanted by both clubs and countries.
David Moyes has never been one to shy away from talking about his achievements. Many have claimed he spoke about what he had done for West Ham so much because his job was on the line, but he’s been like it from day one. His famous “that’s what I do, I win” quote was said after just his first game back in charge of the Hammers.
Since leaving, he’s been very open in saying that he should have been kept on at the London Stadium. and he believes most Premier League clubs would take him as their gaffer.
While many have been keen to point out the fact that he’s yet to actually get a new managerial role, the Scotsman has claimed that he’s got offers from clubs and countries. “We’ll see how things go in the future but at the moment, I’m really cool, just taking a bit of time off,” he told talkSPORT.
“I don’t know yet [if I’ll return to management], I don’t know.”
“I’ve not made that decision yet and I don’t want to make that decision. I just want to see how it goes.”
“I’ve had some really nice enquiries from clubs and countries as well at different times, but I’m just taking my time and we’ll see how it goes.”
Perhaps he will go somewhere and be a massive success, winning trophies, or getting teams into positions no one thought was possible, but he may also not have the same effect as he had at West Ham. What he does offer though is stability, and there’s a lot of teams who would kill to have that.
