Former West Ham scout says that he can not see their star player moving away.
Whenever you hear players talk about West Ham fans, they all know there’s something different about the club. They all admit that there is no fanbase like it when it comes to how they live and breathe the club. When you’re loved by the fans, there’s no other group that will treat you better.
Clearly, this is something Jarrod Bowen has been fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of. Despite having no prior affiliation with the Hammers, the winger has been keen to state that he is now a fan as well as a player.
As it stands, Bowen is already a club legend, but he could really cement his name as one of the greats if he stays at the London Stadium for the remainder of his career.
Although there has been interest from other sides, former West Ham scout Mick Brown believes that Bowen will remain in East London. “He’s done fantastically well since joining West Ham,” he said when speaking to Football Insider.
“I know he’s settled down there, he’s got engaged and he’s got a couple of children, he’s more than happy in London and things are going well for him.”
“I know there was interest in him at one stage, but I don’t think he’ll be looking to move away from West Ham any time soon. He signed a big new deal and the fans love him as well, he’s an icon to them.”
“West Ham are certainly happy with what he brings to the team and how he’s been playing. That’s thanks in large part to David Moyes and the work he did with him. But like I said, he’s perfectly happy there and I can’t see that changing at any point.“
Obviously, Brown is someone who would know what he’s on about as he only left when Moyes did. This will be exactly what fans want to hear and, in an age where contracts don’t mean all that much, they will be hopeful that he will stay at least until the end of his current deal.
