One of Europe’s most prestigious clubs are prepared to “bid heavily” for a West Ham star.
Barcelona are reportedly preparing a bid for West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus, according to Fichajes.
The Ghanaian joined the club just a year ago, in what was a real coup. He has gone on to establish himself as one of the best wingers in the Premier League, with some of the best dribbling stats in the whole of Europe.
While it was only active for a brief amount of time, clubs did have the opportunity to sign him in the last transfer window via his release clause of £85 million. Disappointingly though, this is set to come into permanent effect next Summer with a whole host of clubs showing interest.
Fortunately, reports have suggested no English club is willing to match his release clause, but the article from the Spanish media outlet suggests that Barcelona may do just that.
Despite being in an immense amount of debt, the Catalonian club seem to be able to spend whatever they like, meaning they could in fact force our Irons’ hand.
Even if they did get the full amount for him, replacing a player of his quality is near impossible. Losing Paqueta would have been tough, losing Kudus will be devastating.
