Julen Lopetegui has been urged to drop star due to woeful form.

So far, from a results perspective, things have not drastically improved at West Ham since Julen Lopetegui took over as manager. If anything, it’s been a bit of a step down, but that’s to be expected, When a new gaffer comes in with a completely new system it takes time to get things rolling.

Unfortunately for him, some of his best players haven’t been performing to the level everyone expects them to be playing at, namely Lucas Paqueta.

This isn’t a new thing, the Brazilian has been poor for the majority of games since he was accused of being involved in a betting scandal. It’s now gotten to the point where his goal involvements are pretty much the same as Felipe Anderson during his time at the club, with roughly the same amount of games played – a player who is considered to have been a huge flop.

A report from GIVEMESPORT has urged Lopetegui to drop the midfielder for his woeful form, stating that Summerville deserved to be given a fair chance instead.

Obviously this is all a matter of opinion, but it really is hard to argue against. Summerville has looked exciting when he’s played, Paqueta has looked anything but. When he’s at his best, the Brazilian is able to be the best player on the pitch, but it’s just been so long since he consistently performed at that level.
