West Ham are set to secure the long term future of highly rated goalkeeper Finlay Herrick, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The club have been actively working on securing the futures of our exciting crop of Academy players, and now our club insider Ex has revealed on The West Ham Way Patreon that Herrick is the latest to commit his future to the club.

“We are delighted to exclusively reveal that talented keeper Finlay Herrick is set to sign a new 4 year deal with an option of a 1 year extension with the club,” stated our Podcast co-host and insider.

“This is great news for West Ham as the player is very highly thought of. The club have started to create a clear pathway for him to the first team recently with the likes of: Nathan Trott, Joseph Anang and Jacob Knightsbridge, all young keepers, that have been allowed to leave.

“Herrick has been with the club since he was 6 and has represented England at under 15/16/17/18 and most recently 19 level.

“The official announcement should come early next week confirming this news.

Herrick is one of a number of top quality academy players that have had their contracts agreed by former academy player and West Ham legend Mark Noble, which once again demonstrates the continued positive influence he has at the club.”
