West Ham star Mohammed Kudus will miss a month of Premier League action after seeing red against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Kudus was sent off during his team’s 4-1 defeat to Tottenham in North London after an aggressive altercation with multiple opposition players.

The Ghanaian forward went from hero to villain for the Hammers in North London, he opened the scoring for Julen Lopetegui’s side with a well-taken strike after a promising start from West Ham.
However, that took a huge turn when Spurs raced into a 4-1 lead just fifteen minutes into the second half. It got even worse for the Hamers with four minutes to go as Kudus received his first-ever Premier League red card.
The 24-year-old appeared to kick out at Micky van de Ven, while pushing the Dutchman and his Spurs team-mate Pape Matar Sarr in the face. Referee Andy Madley initially gave Kudus a yellow but changed his mind after reviewing the decision with VAR.
Kudus will now miss more than a month of Premier League action for the Hammers due to the International break. He will miss crucial matches against Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, and Everton.
While Kudus hasn’t reached the heights of last season, he is still vital to this West Ham side. With Julen Lopetegui under huge amounts of pressure after losing 4-1 to bitter rivals Spurs, a defeat to Manchester United could be the final nail in the coffin. And without Kudus, a win against United becomes a lot more unlikely despite their poor start to the season.
