West Ham United could make a move to sign England International Ruben Loftus-Cheek from AC Milan this winter, according to a report from Football Insider

The 28-year-old had a stellar campaign in his first season at San Siro, the former Chelsea man scored ten goals and provided 2 assists on all competitions as the Rossoneri finished second in the table behind runaway leaders Inter.

Hammers fans will know all about Loftus-Cheek’s talents from his time at Chelsea, during his development at Stamford Bridge and through the England youth ranks, he had been tipped as one of the country’s brightest young talents. It has been almost ten years since RLC made his Premier League debut for the Blues, he made 155 appearances in a injury hit spell at Stamford Bridge.

He was included in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the World Cup in 2018 off the back of an impressive year with Crystal Palace, but has earned just two caps since then. The midfielder will want a return to the England squad under Thomas Tuchel and him showing his talents in the Premier League again would help with that. RLC played 46 times under Tuchel at Chelsea, scoring a goal and providing one assist in that time.

Former England and Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paul Robinson has tipped Loftus-Cheek to make a return to London and switch to West Ham United. This comes after rumours in Italy linked the Hammers with a move for the former Chelsea talent.

Robinson said: “Can I see him coming back to the Premier League? Yeah, I can.

“I think he’s still got time in his career and he’s one of these players who will keep developing later than we initially expected him to.

“Whether West Ham is the right place for him, we don’t know, but a move might help bring that potential out that we all know is there.”
