West Ham host Manchester United with significant pressure mounting on both Julen Lopetegui & Erik ten Hag.
Our Hammers have so-far been disappointing this season, having finally produced a positive performance in the win over Ipswich, only to then get thrashed in a capitulation at Spurs last week.
The same however can be said for the visitors today, who have also had a poor start to the campaign, with the feeling that if they are to lose to West Ham today, it could well be ten Hag’s final game as Man United boss.
Lopetegui will be aware of the pressure on the visitors also and must take full advantage of that, and that its on home soil, with a win today being something that could well life the mood and belief in east London.
Niclas Fullkrug will be missing today again with the ongoing ankle issue rumbling on, following the player having to return to Germany for treatment. Mohammed Kudus is suspended, which means Crysencio Summerville will likely start on the left wing our our Hammers this afternoon.
There are serious question marks over whether Lucas Paqueta should start, with his form not improving and the player becoming a somewhat liability. The same could also be said for Alphonse Areola, with many calling for the goalkeeper to be dropped.
Manchester United will be without Antony, Mason Mount, Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo. However, Jonny Evans and Bruno Fernandes return to the side.
The match kicks off at 2pm and is not being televised. It is however available to listen to on BBC Radio London.
