Boyhood West Ham fan Vinnie Bowman has completed a fairytale move to Heybridge Swifts.
The 17 year old is hot property within the non league circuit due to his scoring feats and physical ability.
The likes of Fulham, Millwall, Wimbledon and West Ham have all been keeping an eye on the player who has been registered to Margate in Kent.
When the news came in that West Ham legend and Heybridge Swift manager Julian Dicks was looking for a new target man forward, his agent-another huge West Ham fan couldn’t think of a more perfect fit for the club.
Vinnie who at 16/17 scored 4 goals in 415 minutes of football last season for Margate’s senior team was thrilled to be offered the chance of first team football under the guidance of a hero to his family.
Swifts based near Maldon in Essex also have former defender Adrian Whitbread as an assistant manager and also list a number of the staff at the club as huge West Ham fans.
This really is the club to adopt as your non league team. We will be keeping you up to date with the clubs progress.
Vinnie’s long term ambitions are to score as many as he can this season and help Heybridge achieve a good league position, complete his A-Levels and then see where he is in the summer.
This is an exciting move for all parties and one we are keen to follow.
