West Ham & Julen Lopetegui are already seeking improvements for January’s transfer window.

After a shaky start to life as West Ham manager, there is slight pressure on Julen Lopetegui to bring in reinforcements in January to bolster attacking options for the Hammers.

18-year-old Hertha BSC attacker Ibrahim Maza has been rumoured by CaughtOffside to be one of Julen Lopetegui’s target list ahead of the January transfer window.

Maza has caught the eye of many this year scoring 3 goals and 2 assists in 10 appearances in the Bundesliga, showcasing his versatility and raw talent that would be an asset to many Premier League sides in the future.

CaughtOffside has reported that two other Premier League sides are interested (Brentford and
Leicester City), with the player apparently being open to a move to England.

Hertha Berlin believes the young forward is worth upwards of 20 million euros, which if the past is anything to go by, won’t push West Ham’s management and staff away from the deal.

Maza seems to fit the bill in the Premier League and is sought out as a solid fit for West Ham’s long-term plans under Julen Lopetegui.

With Tim Steidten’s German experience and past, this signing would make complete sense, once again reinforcing his transfer recruitment importance.

The player may not fix short-term issues for West Ham United under Julen Lopetegui, but Ibrahim Maza’s future could add youth and potential to an aging side.
