West Ham United managerial target Edin Terzic is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail.
In recent weeks, the Hammers have been heavily linked with a move for the former Borussia Dortmund manager due to the continuing pressure on Julen Lopetegui after a disappointing start to his reign.
Edin Terzic would be making a return to the club if he was to become manager at London Stadium, he spent just over 2 years at West Ham between August 2015 and November 2017 as assistant to Slaven Bilic.
A manager that knew exactly what it was like to play at Upton Park would no doubt be welcomed with open arms by almost every single West Ham. The clip of him in tears after the final game at Upton Park is one that will make Hammers fans back him from the get go.
Last month, it was reported by Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports, that the club are considering a move for former Hammers assistant Edin Terzic, who worked with Slaven Bilic, as the potential replacement for Lopetegui – should he be relieved of his duties.
‘Former BVB coach Edin #Terzic is a candidate in case West Ham United decide to replace manager Julen Lopetegui ✔️ The 41y/o has a good reputation at #WHUFC, where he worked from 2015-2017 as assistant coach under Slaven Bilic. Terzic is open to a new challenge and has also received interest from AC Milan, having already been in contact with their advisor, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.’
Despite the interest in Terzic, a move is far from imminent due to the clubs current stance on Julen Lopetegui. The Hammer hierarchy are keen to stick with the Spaniard despite a poor start. Saturday’s win against Manchester United could springboard a run for the Hammers, however defeat to Forest this week will put all the pressure back on him.
