Richard Keys has once again delivered an unbelievable West Ham take.
The brilliant thing about football and sport as a whole is the subjectivity. It would be no where near as enjoyable without having the conversations and debates.
However, we all know those people who deliver consistently bad opinions to the point that you question whether the sport is really for them. Surprisingly, that’s sometimes the case with pundits.
Richard Keys is known for his fair share questionable statements, and he seems to be quite prolific with them when it comes to West Ham.
Most recently, he’s called into question the club’s decision to let go of Moyes by saying: “West Ham’s problems are all of their own making and I don’t have an ounce of sympathy for them. It’ll get worse there before it gets better.”
“They’re certainly going in another direction since forcing David Moyes out. It’s just not the one they wanted to go in. Frank Lampard?”
Not agreeing with the decision to get rid of David Moyes is fair enough, but it’s the fact that he fails to recognise that just because Lopetegui is failing does not mean the Scotsman should have stayed. Then there is his Lampard comment – how ridiculous! Obviously he’s being sarcastic but it’s totally disrespectful to basically insulate that he wants the club to do badly by signing a manager who’s been a total failure.
