Julen Lopetegui’s position is up in the air following West Ham’s draw with Everton, and they could instead end up bringing in a highly rated European manager, according to conflicting reports.

An uninspiring performance which showed absolutely no signs of improvement nor any indication that the club is moving in the right direction has now caused fan’s frustration to reach boiling point.

However, reports about whether or not he will be sacked are conflicting and this is only causing more anger.

Jim White told talkSPORT that Lopetegui would not be dismissed “even if they lost 5-0.” Obviously this didn’t happen but the performance level could’ve easily led to a defeat of that nature if they played a better team than Everton.

The journalist is known to be extremely close with owner David Sullivan so many people have taken his word as the truth.

However, the likes of Jacob Steinberg and Graeme Bailey believed that a poor result would see the Spaniard get sacked. With the result being a draw it could still go either way realistically.

Surprisingly, Hammers News has encouraged West Ham to make an unlikely approach for Carlo Ancelotti.

The current Real Madrid manager is one of the most successful managers to grace the game, having won 5 Champions Leagues and 6 league titles in Europe’s top five leagues.

As it stands, Madrid sit six points behind first place Barcelona, something that has led to his job being under serious pressure.

While a move for Ancelotti might be unlikely, considering he’s managed Everton before you have to ask: ‘why not?’ He’s previously stated how much he loves working in England and has even confessed to being open to a move to East London.
