West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Crystal Place are all interested in signing Lens midfielder Andy Diouf, according to a report from GIVEMESPORT.

Tottenham have reportedly been keeping tabs on Diof’s progress for a while now and are keen to bring in the French midfielder next summer, however, they may have to act sooner with West Ham and Palace also interested.

Spurs scouts were in attendance for Lens’ Conference League clash with Panathinaikos in August, Diof has been on his current employers’ books since rubber-stamping a £13million move from Swiss side Basel in the summer of 2023.

Diof is exactly the player West Ham are looking for in midfield, the lack of mobility in the midfield is one of the team’s biggest problems. Two or even all three of Tomas Soucek, Edson Alvarez, and Guido Rodriguez leave the centre of the park exposed offensively and defensively very often. Diouf is a player who loves to dribble and shoot and is also very sound defensively. Three things that the current Hammers midfield lacks.

Diouf has made 10 starts in Ligue 1 this season, chalking up two goal contributions along the way, and GMS sources have learned that Tottenham have left fellow suitors West Ham and Crystal Palace concerned that they are considering offering their target a route into the Premier League for the first time in his career.

Diouf started his Youth career at PSG before quickly switching to Rennes, he worked his way up to the first team before being loaned out to Basel, after impressing in Switzerland he signed permanently for just under £5m, before instantly being sold for £8m profit to Lens just a day later.

The 21-year-old would be exactly the type of signing fans West Ham fans love, at just 21 years old he is very unknown to Premier League fans, but very clearly has a lot of potential. Thierry picked him in his star-studded gold medal-winning France squad in the Olympics this summer, which included players like Michael Olise and Rayan Cherki.
