One of West Ham’s rivals are prepared to meet the release clause of their star player.

The quality of West Ham’s squad is much better on paper than it was last season. However, this hasn’t exactly translated to on-the-pitch success. Ultimately, they are still massively reliant on certain players to show up and do the business, and the majority of them are the same ones from the previous campaign.

Jarrod Bowen, Edson Alvarez, and Mohammed Kudus are absolutely pivotal to the Irons, with them clearly suffering when even one of those is missing.

Unfortunately, they could be about to lose on the latter permanently as Arsenal are keen on signing the Ghanaian, Fichajes reports.

Kudus is said to have a release clause in the region of £83 million which the Gunners are supposedly prepared to match.

The exceptional thing about the star boy is that he’s able to play absolutely anywhere in attack and still look equally as comfortable. Arsenal admittedly have a lot of quality in their front line, but there’s no doubt that Kudus would quickly cement himself in the starting XI.

Losing him to a rival would be heartbreaking but, with the potential he has, you can’t help but feel like the release clause is a bit too low. Unfortunately, him leaving could be a matter of when not if.
