West Ham have set out a review plan for the under pressure Julen Lopetegui, should he survive the international break.
It has been reported by Keith Wyness on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that following the clubs poor showing in the season so far, there are now serious doubts within the clubs hierarchy over whether Lopetegui is the right man to be leading this team.
Despite having had a full pre-season and now competed in 13 competitive matches in all competitions this season, West Ham look a side who are failing to improve throughout, with pressure now mounting on Lopetegui.
Wyness has advised that although there has been a general public backing from the club thus far, behind the scenes is very different, with the ownership less that impressed with what has been delivered so far.
“I’ve spoken to some close sources at West Ham. He’s being backed publicly but behind the scenes, there is a lot of unhappiness. If he survives the international break, then he’ll get through to Christmas and he’ll be reviewed again then.
“But he’s right on the edge at the moment. It’s not surprising.”
