West Ham are planning for the likely dismissal of Julen Lopetegui in the coming weeks, with a ‘Plan B’ taking shape.
According to reports, the club are becoming seriously concerned with the lack of progress under the Spaniard and the fact West Ham are a club staring a relegation battle in the face.
This was not that plan whatsoever, after a summer of significant investment under the leadership of both Lopetegui and Technical Director Tim Steidten – however thus far the team seem so far off the pace.
The performances and tactics have been erratic to say the least, with a clear lack of discipline and confidence amongst the players which leaves many very concerned where this season is heading.
It’s been reported on the Football Insider that the club, although still desperate to see Lopetegui turn things around, there is an acceptance that a plan needs to be drawn up if it’s decided the trigger needs to be pulled on the Head Coach.
It’s been reported that the current front runners of his potential replacements are Edin Terzic and Graham Potter, should Lopetegui depart the club, which could well happen if West Ham fail to get positive results in the next 2 matches.
