According to a report from Calcio Mercato, West Ham do not have a chance to sign AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic

Just earlier this week, Calcio Mercato reported that the Irons are strongly interested in bringing the USMT winger back to London in January after he departed Chelsea almost 18 months ago.

Pulisic had an excellent first season for the Rossonieri, in 50 matches in all competitions mainly playing from the right wing, the forward scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists. The 26-year-old is on track to better that this season, he currently has seven goals and five assists in 15 appearances.

Pulisic’s biggest problem during his time in the Premier League with Chelsea was his injuries, he missed around 60 matches in four seasons at Stamford Bridge due to injury or illness. However, he seems to have gotten over that in Milan, he missed just four matches through injury last season, and hasn;t missed any in 24/25 so far.

With his best years ahead of him, and being somewhat proven in the Premier League, it’s very clear to see why Pulisic would be an option for the Hammers. However, according to Calcio Mercato, the Hammers aren’t an option for the American. The Italian source has stated that West Ham United are not a club that could encourage Christian Pulisic to leave AC Milan.

This would be hard for almost every West Ham fan to argue with, the only serious upgrade he would be getting by leaving AC Milan for West Ham would be financially. With Champions League football, getting to play at San Siro, and a potential Serie A title race on the cards, Pulisic would be silly to leave for the Hammers.

This isn’t the end of the world for West Ham, however. Pulisic’s favourite position is on the right wing and the Hammers are stacked in that position. Julen Lopetegui currently has Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus, who many believe are the club’s two most talented players who want to play on the right wing.

Pulisic would also cost around £50 million as he still has 2 1/2 years left on his Milan contract, the Irons are unlikely to have anywhere near that to spend in the January window, making a transfer unlikely anyway.
