A young, highly rated, Premier League striker could be on his way to West Ham.
Signing a No.9 who’s able to consistently score in claret and blue is something West Ham have struggled with for years. Both Gianluca Scamacca and Sebastian Haller were never able to prove themselves in England, while Danny Ings’ improved form hasn’t been enough to get a proper run in the side.
After the signing of Niclas Fullkrug, which has been a disaster, you’d hope the Hammers would have a good idea of what sort of striker they should not sign, which is perhaps why they’re interested in one of the Premier League’s most promising forward talents, Fichajes reports.
Evan Ferguson may only be 20-years-old, but the experience he has is far beyond his years, although he’s never really had a consistent run of starts, Over the previous two campaigns, he managed to score 6 goals in each.
Unfortunately for him, thanks to Brighton’s unbelievable recruitment, his playing time is becoming extremely limited, leading him to look for a move elsewhere.
If he’s available for a good price, it’s a deal West Ham should be all over. He’s exactly what they need: young, hungry, powerful, and a natural finisher. The only real concern is his injury record but that may improve with a consistent run in the first team as it will allow him to keep adapting to the Premier League. He’s so young and the potential is massive, it would be a no brainer as it could potentially provide a long term solution to their long lasting problem.
