West Ham fans in dismay as club look set for David Moyes reunion.
Despite winning the club their first trophy in over 40 years, David Moyes is an extremely controversial figure amongst the East London faithful. Although he did brilliant things for the club, the style of play was boring, the set up was often pessimistic, and he consistently made digs at the fans.
After an abysmal second-half of the season, West Ham decided not to renew his contract at the end of the last campaign. Since then, Moyes has been out of work and has enjoyed his time off. However, he has recently confirmed that he is ready to go back into management but is waiting for the right opportunity.
According to talkSPORT, that opportunity may just have arose. Leicester City have just sacked Steve Cooper with the evidence suggesting that he lost the dressing room. As a result, they’re lining up potential replacements and the Scotsman is said to be leading the way.
What makes things interesting is that his first home game would be against West Ham. If he does get the job, the storyline will obviously be about whether or not the Hammers were right to sack Moyes or not.
It will be a game the Conference League winner will be absolutely desperate to win – he’s got a point to prove and there is perhaps no scarier manager when somethings on the line.
