West Ham are emerging as the favourites to sign one of the Premier Leagues top strikers in January.
In what would be a huge statement from the club should a deal be realised, Evan Ferguson of Brighton is set for a move away from the south coast due to lack of game time and east London is at this stage looking his most likely destination.
According to Gambling.com, the 20 year old Republic of Ireland international is seeking a move and is likely to be granted a loan switch in the new year, and West Ham will no doubt see this as a perfect opportunity to secure a top striker with the view of it becoming permanent in the summer.
West Ham Top Of Market Ahead Of January
West Ham are likely to be in the market for a centre-forward in January and Ferguson looks to be one of their top targets.
The Irons are currently the favourites to sign him, which are offering a best price of Evens.
Juventus Could Offer Serie A Option
Juventus are struggling to turn possession into goals, at least in relation to some of the other teams towards the top of the division and Ferguson would bring some much-needed firepower to Thiago Motta’s squad, with Juve priced at 6/4 to acquire his services.
Hoops Could Throw Hat Into The Ring
Brighton may prefer to loan him outside the Premier League, so that could give the Hoops an advantage. Celtic are available at 5/2.
Leeds Looking To Bolster Attack
Leeds are priced at 5/2 to sign Ferguson, but the Republic of Ireland international would probably prefer to stay in the top flight rather than dropping down into the Championship, even for just a few months.
Brentford In The Frame To Land Striker
Ferguson is adept at holding the ball up, which was one of Toney’s major attributes too. The question is whether Brighton would be willing to loan the striker to Brentford, but you can get odds of 3/1 on this move happening.
