West Ham produced a shameful display in the 5-2 hammering against Arsenal as the pressure mounts on Julen Lopetegui.
Despite a much improved performance in the win over Newcastle earlier in the week, West Ham took another huge step backwards.
It was a dreadful showing, especially in the first half, as Arsenal were simply better in every department while Lopetegui’s system appeared to cater for their strengths.
Following the heavy defeat, The West Ham Way Podcast host Dave Walker slammed the performance and Lopetegui, with the Tuesday night game against Leicester City now considered a must-win.
“The first half was shambolic really,” stated Walker. “Five goals at home is unacceptable regardless of the opposition.
“Another bad day at the office on the back of what was a really good win at Newcastle. The next two games are massive because we are expected to win. If we don’t then it could be time to part company with the manager.”
