West Ham and Julen Lopetegui are under enormous pressure ahead of our game against Leicester City later tonight.
Our Hammers head to the King Power Stadium off the back of yet another poor performance and shocking result, this time at the hands of Arsenal, as doubts rise again over the long term future of Lopetegui.
Should West Ham lose to newly-promoted Leicester then there is a high expectation that the club will act, with reports linking former Porto boss Sergio Conceicao to the post.
BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton has provided his view ahead of the clash with the Foxes tonight, saying that although he feels West Ham will have too much for the home side, he has no confidence in the Hammers following the performances this season so far.
Both teams were beaten heavily at the weekend and this feels like a massive game for West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui, who is back under scrutiny again after such a big defeat at home to Arsenal.
What might help him here is how bad Leicester are defensively. This is Ruud van Nistelrooy’s first game in charge of the Foxes so you would expect the King Power Stadium to be rocking, but that won’t help them keep the Hammers out.
I am not convinced by West Ham in any way, shape or form at the moment but they have attacking players who can hurt Leicester, and that will get them the win Lopetegui needs.
Sutton’s prediction: 1-2
It’s a game that Lopetegui simply has to win and win well to show he has what it takes to get this team playing, although there is no doubt that a feeling in the air at the moments is one of a club ready to make a change regardless.
West Ham have a habit of sitting on making a decision, which feels the case once again, but a loss to Leicester may well be too might for he hierarchy to ignore any more, as patience runs out on the Head Coach who was only appointed in the summer.
