West Ham are under huge pressure to act on the future of Julen Lopetegui following another bad loss under the Head Coach this season.

Our Hammers fell to a 3-1 loss to one of the Premier League favourites for relegation this season, as Leicester City were the latest side to take full advantage of a weak defense and bizarre tactics from the 0ut-of-depth Lopetegui.

Performances and results under the Spaniard show no hope whatsoever of improving, so while the former Spain boss is under considerable pressure, so too are the club and David Sullivan – who need to act and sort out the mess for which they are responsible.

The appointment of Lopetegui has never felt right from the start, with the Spaniard clearly not the right candidate to succeed David Moyes in the summer – with a strong feeling immediately that this was a cheap fix rather than an ambitious and well-thought decision.

Now it is all connected who are paying the price, having to endure a disastrous season despite a summer of such promise and optimism – which now has eroded to a state of fear of where this club could be come May next year.

No longer can the club keep kicking the can in hope of a sudden change of course under Lopetegui, it simply is now a situation they must fix urgently, with a change in Head Coach needed to rescue a current dire situation.

Should West Ham make the right call and bring in a new man to lead this team of highly talented individuals, there is time to take advantage of some winnable fixtures, plus to give time on the new Head Coach to identify areas for improvement ahead of the January transfer window.

Will the club act? History shows they are slow at making any decisions, so I shall not hold my breath.
