Julen Lopetegui had a confrontation with Jean-Clair Todibo, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.
The West Ham Head Coach, whose future is in significant doubt following the loss to Leicester City last night, is understood to have clashed with the player at half time during the heavy defeat to Arsenal.
Reporting earlier today on The West Ham Way Patreon, our club insider Ex advised that there had been a falling out during the London derby.
“There is a concern about the relationships that the manager has with certain players with a couple of high profile disagreements with another coming during the Arsenal game,” stated the insider.
Ex has now confirmed that the player in question was Todibo, with it reported that captain Jarrod Bowen had to calm the situation down.
“Bowen had to step in and said that Todibo was being disrespectful towards the Head Coach, which defused the situation.
“Todibo had minor injuries so therefore he was rested for the Leicester game to recover – which also took him out of the firing line.
“I decided not to disclose sooner due to the magnitude of the Leicester fixture, although hinted at this on the latest Podcast.”
Ex has also confirmed that former Denmark manager Kasper Hjulmand is a candidate understood to be preferred by Tim Steidten, should the club part ways with Julen Lopetegui.
