West Ham hierarchy are meeting to make a big decision over the future of Julen Lopetegui, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

Following the latest defeat this season, this time a 3-1 loss to Leicester City last night, it appears that time and patience has run out for many surrounding the Head Coach, with a growing sense that he is in his final days at the club.

Our Podcast co-host and club insider Ex has provided an update on the current state of play on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“There is obviously a reluctance to sack a manager who hasn’t been here long and to give him as much time as possible but the confidence in his ability to turn it around seems to be reducing significantly.

“It is thought that a list of alternatives is being drawn up and that a number of managers who could be available to take the position quickly is being created. The club could even explore a short term option to the end of the season with an extension to that being agreed at a later date.

“There appears to be a split in the camp with sources close to Steidten saying that a change is necessary, whereas others in the board saying he should at least get the Wolves game.

“It does appear that the managers future is very much in the balance with both options being explored and perhaps even leaning towards a dismissal but ultimately the decision will come down to David Sullivan.”

Ex has since advised that a meeting will be held ahead of the weekend, which a decision to be made on whether the time is come to sack Lopetegui and bring in a new Head Coach to turn around this so-far very underwhelming season within the next 72 hours.
