West Ham could do the unthinkable as David Moyes return rumours have begun.
Following his departure at the end of last season, David Moyes has been extremely open about how he feels about West Ham.
Perhaps understandably, Moyes feels hard done by. He achieved things us fans would never have dreamed of. Anyone who supported West Ham prior to his second stint would’ve bitten your hand off for a decent European run, let alone three consecutive ones with a trophy along the way.
However, the general consensus amongst fans is that it was the right time for him to go. Things had become way too toxic, and the club decided to take a risk on a new manager.
Unfortunately, they went for the cheap option in Julen Lopetegui which has predictably been a massive failure.
As a result, reports have emerged linking the Scotsman back to the club for a third time.
While the articles claim he’d be keen on the move, it’s something our Irons should steer well clear of. Not only would it be utterly embarrassing, but it would create unneeded toxicity. If he was to come back, Tim Steidten would simply have to go and he’s the one who signed the majority of these players.
What we need is the board to put their hands in their pockets and actually pay compensation for an exciting, well respected manager who will suit our vision – Moyes isn’t that in the slightest, but they surely know that.
