Jarrod Bowen has given an alarming admission when talking about the clubs win over Wolves last night.

West Ham came away with a 2-1 victory over Gary O’Neils relegation threatened side, with our Hammers producing another far from convincing performance.

It’s one that appears to offered more time to Head Coach Julen Lopetegui, however there are many still very much calling for the club to dismiss the Spaniard.

Bowen, who was outstanding in the win and grabbed the winner in stunning fashion, gave an alarming admission when stating what was decided upon at half time.

“We were just lacking a bit of energy,” said the Hammers captain to the club’s Official Website. “We said that to each other at half-time, and we’d also identified set-pieces as an area to put pressure on them.

“We made a little tweak at half-time, so that I would take the first corner on that side, and it came off with Tomáš scoring, so it was great to see us make the most of those opportunities and get over the line when it mattered.”

The fact West Ham appear to have had zero knowledge of Wolves’ struggles when dealing with crossing is a stark insight into the complete ineptitude of our coaching staff.

Stating that it was noticed during the match does raise again the question of what this team is working on all week in preparation for this match.

Bowen though did dedicate the win to Michail Antonio, who everyone associated with the club has in their minds as he recovers from a horrific car accident.

“I’m sure he’ll have been watching on,” added Bowen. “He’ll have heard the fans singing his name, and overall it was just a special moment after a tough period.”
