West Ham’s hopes of signing Premier League wonderkid have been damaged after manager provides update.

Following mixed results from their Summer transfer window, it’s believed that a lot of West Ham’s attention in the coming windows will be placed on signing players from the lower leagues of England, as well as youngsters from Premier League sides.

According to reports, they’ve shown keen interest in signing Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling.

The 18-year-old sensation has already made 14 Premier League appearances, scoring one goal, and displaying excellent versatility.

Articles have claimed he would be available for just £21 million but, despite not being able to reach an agreement over a new deal, Southampton manager Russell Martin says it will take much more than this to secure his signature.

“I was told some rumours about interest, one was talk of a bid of £21m,” Martin stated.“I’m not sure you’ll get his left foot for that.”

“We have offered him a contract, a really good contract for someone his age. At the minute, I don’t think his agent agrees, so that’s where we’re at. I think Tyler wants it done, I think Tyler’s parents want it done, so we’ll see how long that takes.”

“I’ve spoken to Tyler’s mum and dad about it, I’ve spoken to Tyler, but then I’m not involved in any of the negotiations – that’s down to Phil [Parsons, chief executive] and the gang, the owners and Tyler’s agent – and that’s where it gets tricky.”

While anything over that £25 million will be extremely difficult if not impossible for our Irons without player sales this January, he would undoubtedly be an unbelievable signing. Although he’s very early on in his development, he could be a great successor to either Paqueta or Kudus if they were to depart.
