West Ham star could be sacrificed in order to fund January rebuild.
Despite spending a ridiculous amount of money in the Summer, West Ham seem to have taken a sideward step this season. The defence has been just as shaky and the football hasn’t been any better, just different.
While a lot of this has been put down to Julen Lopetegui, and rightfully so, the recruitment team do have a lot to answer for. Signings like Niclas Fullkrug, Rodriguez, and Luis Guilherme all seem baffling.
It’s not just the new signings that have failed to
impress, with many of the Hammers’ vital players not performing to the level they can.
As a result, reports have suggested that West Ham are faced with a dilemma: sell a star player like Kudus to fund a rebuild, or keep hold of the superstar knowing they’ll likely lose him in the Summer.
Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle are all said to be interested in the Ghanaian and, if he wishes to leave, I’d be fine with him going if we got £80 – 90 million for him. The issue lies with not fully trusting Tim Steidten to spend the money wisely. His track record so far is uninspiring, and whoever the manager is, there’s some really big positions that need to be improved upon which need to be dealt with expertly.
