West Ham should sack Julen Lopetegui immediately to have any chance of saving this season.

That is the view of The West Ham Way Podcast host Dave Walker, who was again understandably angry with yet another hammering to add to the list this season under the beleaguered Head Coach.

West Ham have been poor this season so far, with little evidence that Lopetegui is capable of getting things on track – as Walker now calls for the club to act.

“I thought we played well in the first half and Man City were there for the taking but as usual we lack an end product, make silly mistakes and just end up capitulating,” said Walker after the match.

“I can’t understand why we are delaying the inevitable, just get it done and give us a fighting chance of progressing in the FA Cup.”

Walkers co-host and club insider ExWHUEmployee also pointed to the defensive frailties once again, as the pressure mounts on the club to make a change.

“It’s another defensive capitulation and it’s just not acceptable how we continually role over for the big sides,” said Ex.

“We actually started the game quite well and could have been ahead in the first half on the balance of play. Soft goals at the start of the second half put the game to bed again and this team just has no fight!! One small positive is another goal for Fullkrug and hopefully he can continue to build on this.”
