Julen Lopetegui’s camp is unhappy with Tom Steidten over his conduct.
As much as Lopetegui is an unpopular man at West Ham, the once ‘saviour’ Tim Steidten is now not far behind him.
For the second time, and under two different managers, the German has had to be banned from attending the training ground. This can’t be just a coincidence, and it’s backed up by the fact that Lopetegui’s team are reportedly unhappy with the German.
What exactly has made them frustrated is a mystery, but there are a fair few things it could be. In the longer term, it could be the fact he didn’t bring in the right players for the his system, or that he got in players ears causing divide in the dressing room. It could also be his clear desperation for the limelight.
In the short term, it’s likely that the man who is said to have supported the appointment, someone who would’ve interviewed the Spaniard is the man who’s being laying the foundations for him to get sacked for some time now – Lopetegui has a right to feel betrayed.
Whatever your opinion is on the, at the time of writing, manager of our club, the way he’s been treated is absolutely disgusting. Although the board definitely need to consider Steidten’s future, and my opinion sack him, they need to have a look in the mirror about how they could treat any human being like this, let alone one who’s had such a tough time personally lately.
