West Ham are targeting players this January transfer window following the imminent arrival of Graham Potter.

The former Brighton boss takes over from Julen Lopetegui, with the club eager to get the season on track, with players being identified to strengthen the squad for the new Head Coach.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, Ex has advised on the current targets, with the insider stating that the clubs focus on dealing with the Head Coach situation, has potentially impacted our pursuit of a potential target.

“A number of key players have been identified for that position from both the championship and abroad,” stated Ex. “Dutch midfielder Ezechiel Banzuzi is the latest name to join the list.

“The 19 year old is very highly rated and has represented The Netherlands at Under 21 level. Banzuzi currently plays for Belgium club OH Leuven who are managed by former Wales international Chris Coleman. West Ham face a lot of competition for the signature and it seems that the uncertainty around the manager has enabled clubs like Monaco to get an advantage in the race.

“Other midfield targets include Carney of Chelsea, Mathias Delorge of Gent and Dewsbury-Hall of Chelsea. There has also been some talk that Will Hughes could be considered with his contract up at the end of the season.”
