West Ham legend urges the club to recall an on-loan star this month.
With the appointment of Graham Potter now confirmed, fans are anxious to find out how exactly he will set up and what players he will opt to use.
Although he’s got a somewhat sizable squad at his disposal compared to someone like David Moyes during his time at West Ham, it’s not exactly the deepest in the league.
As a result, our good friend and West Ham legend Martin Allen took to X to claim that the Hammers should recall James Ward-Prowse from his loan at Nottingham Forest. “Ward Prowse? Can we recall him? Error to let him go.” Allen stated. “He’s a leader-type character, a proper bloke. Not a chicken.”
While Forest are flying, Ward-Prowse’s game time has been extremely limited. On top of this, our Irons midfield has been completely open under Julen Lopetegui, which is one of the main reasons we’ve conceded so many goals this season. If the option is there, he’s at the very least a good option to have for Potter.
