West Ham have rejected a loan bid for star player who failed to impress under Lopetegui.

Despite the Summer transfer window not being as successful as it seemed on paper, the last few seasons have seen West Ham sign some unbelievable players. By far one of the best is Edson Alvarez.

Although he has a lack of discipline, he’s been an excellent player since joining. However, under Lopetegui his form nosedived.

Thankfully, he seems to be back to his best under Graham Potter who is already playing to his squads strengths. However, it seems like Monaco were keen to take advantage of his downturn in form at West Ham by taking him on loan.

This proposal has been swiftly rejected by the Irons, Fabrizio Romano confirms, with our own ExWHUEmployee claiming that it would take a massive bid to pry him away from the London Stadium.

While there are clearly issues with the midfield, West Ham must keep hold of the Mexican. If he can keep the same levels that he’s shown over the last two games then he will become a guaranteed starter once again.
