Carlos Soler could become a permanent West Ham player if he continues to impress under Graham Potter, according to a report from AS.

Soler has had an indifferent spell in East London since arriving on deadline day on an initial loan deal. At the start of his time at the club, he didn’t look cut out for the Premier League. However, towards the end of Julen Lopetegui’s short stint he started to become one of a few impressive players.

However, due to the teams form Lopetegui was sacked, however, Soler seems to be part of Potters plans. The Spaniard started on the bench in the first game of his reign vs Aston Villa in the FA Cup. However, he came in for the first Premier League game under Potter vs Fulham on Tuesday night. T

He really impressed in a more attacking role than he had under Lopetegui. He opened the scoring as his tidy finish made the most of a mistake from Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno. It wasn’t just his goal that impressed Hammers fans his general play, link-up, passing, crossing and his commitment to the press were clear skills that would suit Graham Potter’s system perfectly.

Lucas Paqueta received the man of the match award on the night, but many believed it deserved to go to Soler. With Crysencio Summerville and Jarrod Bowen to return in the next few weeks, the Hammers’ attacking options are something to be excited about under the new manager.
