West Ham are understood to have made a £57m for Jhon Duran, with ExWHUEmployee providing an update.

The Aston Villa striker was subject of serious interest from the club during the summer, however despite much negotiation with Villa, no deal could be reached.

The player had since signed a new long term deal with the midlands club, however in a shock move, West Ham have now tabled a bid which is understood to be rejected.

Ex has now provided an update on the situation, with it appearing the offer will not be bettered at this stage.

“I have spoken to a top source in the club and asked if there was truth in the Duran bid,” stated Ex. “The response I got back is “Offer turned down. We can do no more”
