Tim Steidten nears exit as his role at West Ham continues to be reduced.
With the sacking of Julen Lopetegui and the arrival of Graham Potter changes are happening from top to bottom at West Ham United.
While the majority of fans believe that it was right to sack the Spaniard, some believe it was too harsh. There’s an argument to be made that the recruitment in the Summer transfer window failed him.
The Hammers spent a massive £150 million, yet the players they brought in haven’t had the desired effect for the most part.
Due to this as well as his questions conduct, which has seen him allegedly play a huge role in turning players against Lopetegui, it’s no wonder that Tim Steidten’s time in East London looks to be drawing to a close.
According to reports, his role is now minimal and no more than advisory, with the club looking to push him out or potentially fire him once they’ve officially brought in Kyle Macauley.
In my opinion, Steidten has to go. While I don’t believe his recruitment is quite as bad as some make out, his behaviour behind the scenes makes his position untenable. He’s fallen out with two separate managers now; it’s certainly not a coincidence.
