West Ham are willing to push their luck for Championship star despite his club claiming that he is not for sale.

With Tim Steidten’s departure now in full swing, it’s probably fair to say that the £150 million spent on the Summer was not put to good use. Too many of the signings haven’t settled in for one reason or another, and it feels like the budget could’ve been put to better use elsewhere,

However, the new recruitment set up will hopefully be everything we hoped for under the German.

One player the club are said to be interested in now is Dan Neil of Sunderland, a young midfielder with absolutely bags of talent.

Much like a lot of the Black Cats’ squad, he’s hungry, determined, and playing like a player with years of experience behind him.

However, securing his services won’t be easy as Sunderland have supposedly rejected any notion that he will be sold this month as they look to push for promotion in some shape or form this season.

Whether it will be fruitless or not, West Ham are reportedly still going to try and push Sunderland to see if a deal can be negotiated. Unfortunately though, it could be one that has to wait until the end of the campaign.
