West Ham flop could reunite with David Moyes in the final days of the transfer window.
It feels like there’s been very few big deals struck by Premier League clubs this window. January is always a difficult time to buy, but even the clubs that are desperate for reinforcements haven’t really brought many in.
West Ham are certainly one of those sides, with their only signing so far being a youth player, despite their need for a striker at the very least.
As it stands, they have one fit first-team centre forward in Danny Ings, yet he’s hardly been used since joining from Aston Villa.
As a result, the club are willing to listen to offers for him with reports emerging claiming that Everton are interested in acquiring the Englishman’s services.
David Moyes bringing in Ings as a backup option would not necessarily be a bad move, but they’d certainly be hoping he’ll take a wage cut.
Although he’s struggled in East London, it would be foolish to let him leave even considering he’s nothing more than a substitute, especially if they don’t bring in someone else to play up top.
