Graham Potter has provided a huge injury update for this weekend with talks also ongoing for possible signings.
The club have been working behind the scenes on strengthening the squad this January, although its clear that Potter and Kyle Macaulay are being very careful over who they decide to bring in, which could possibly mean waiting until the summer transfer window.
Talks have been ongoing for Evan Ferguson, with it understood to be moving forward positively, however Potter is clear that any incoming players have to be right for the club,
“The Club, the board and the Chairman have been fantastic, wanting to help,” said Potter to the press, as reported by the clubs Official Website. “It’s us wanting to get the right players in.
“If we find the right player, we’ll do something, but I have to do the right thing, because if we get it wrong it can have an effect.”
Potter provided the positive update surrounding the fitness of Bowen, whilst also acknowledging the task at hand when we take on Chelsea on Monday night.
“With Jarrod, we’re more positive,” added Potter. “He’s obviously got a few more days to train, but it’s looking hopeful. He’s had more time to recover, with the nature of the injury. He’s trained the last two days, and we’ve still got some more training sessions to go so, as I said, we’re hopeful for him.
“Chelsea are a very tactically aware team, and I think Enzo Maresca has done well in terms of stabilising the squad, and making everything make sense.
“It’s a tough game, they’re competing for the Champions League, so we have to go there with optimism and courage, and try to pick up a result.”
