West Ham’s interest in Italian midfielder spells bad news for loanee.

Despite having a shaky start, Carlos Soler has quickly become mainstay in the starting XI under both Julen Lopetegui and Graham Potter.

The Spaniard’s playmaking abilities are top notch, with him still having a lot more to offer as he continues to adapt.

However, the Hammers are reportedly interested in signing Nicolo Fagioli. Much like Soler, the Italian can play in a variety of positions and at 23-years-old he could be a long-term investment into the midfield.

Although it’s certainly great to be adding younger players into the squad, Soler has proven he can do it in the Premier League already, and with him just turning 28-years-old, he should be in his prime.

In my eyes, the club should do everything in their power to make the Spaniard’s move permanent in the Summer if he keeps showing the form he has been over the last couple of months.
