West Ham haven’t ruled out trying to secure a deal for Daniel Cummings today, despite a rejection from Celtic again.

Although West Ham have a pre-contract in place for the striker this summer, the club were eager to secure the move sooner by offering additional funds to enable the move from Celtic during this transfer window.

The Scottish club however have refused, however our club insider ExWHUEmployee has advised that the club are mulling over possibly returning to Celtic to try and get an earlier arrangement agreed.

“West Ham have had a second bid for Daniel Cummings rejected by Celtic,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon. “Everything is agreed with the player and the agent but Celtic are not accepting our bid to allow him to move this window.

“The situation is a frustrating one because he will join us in the summer whereby Celtic will be due compensation however they are being quite stubborn and refusing to sell now.

“West Ham are now working towards the summer signing but haven’t completely ruled out trying to get it done this window. As it stands however the move will happen in the summer. Mark Noble has been in charge of this deal and is a big fan of the player.

“It has been recently said how positive it feels around the academy since Potter’s arrival and Noble is a key part in it all.”
