World-class prospect nearly made a surprise move to West Ham on deadline day.

Although Luis Guilherme is a highly-rated, Brazilian youngster, he’s not even close to being the country’s best prospect. That title certainly goes to Endrick of Real Madrid.

At 18-years-old, the striker is already a fully fledged Brazil international but he has struggled for game time this season.

Given that Kylian Mbappe is his competition, this really shouldn’t come as a surprise, but at such a young age it’s vital he gets as much playing time as possible. As a result, there were talks that he would be available on loan, with West Ham making a surprise offer on deadline day, reports claim. Unfortunately, this was promptly turned down.

Obviously, the Hammers did end up signing another exciting striker on loan in Evan Ferguson, but having both at their disposal could’ve made for a very interesting end to the season. Let’s hope that the Irishman will be enough to do that anyway.
