West Ham set to battle one of the world’s biggest clubs for the signature of dream striker in the Summer.
The fact that Evan Ferguson’s move to West Ham is a straight loan means the club still have to worry about the striker situation. It’s been a long-term issue, and they’ve massively failed to resolve it.
Fortunately, Graham Potter and his team seem to actively be looking to resolve the issue, but it may be a long-term target they fall on.
According to Graeme Bailey, the Hammers may still sign Jonathan David in the Summer despite stiff competition. “West Ham are one of many clubs to show an interest in David and they do have a lot to offer,” he said.
“Premier League football, living in London and one of best supported teams in England.”
“They have the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus if he stays, Lucas Paqueta – to a forward that is mouth-watering. But with David, West Ham know they are fighting a battle. Almost every team is in for him.”
“Barcelona are his dream club and once they show an interest – it is going to be hard to beat them.”
