Graham Potter has expressed his excitement for the visit of Brentford this weekend to the London Stadium.

The West Ham boss, who has had a sustained period with the players on the training ground following our previous match against Chelsea, says that the break has given his side a freshness as we head into the final months of this season.

“We’ve got a bit of freshness now going into the last 14 games, which we’re really excited about,” Potter told the press, as reported by the clubs Official Website. “We’re looking forward to Brentford, after a good couple of weeks.

“We’ve had some positive news in that Paquetá and Álvarez have trained and should be available. Todibo should make the squad at least, but Füllkrug and Antonio are still away.

“Summerville has had a setback so we’re looking after the international break for him. Apart from that I think we’re OK.”

Potter also shared his thoughts on new loan signing Evan Ferguson, who is widely expected to make his debut for the visit of the Bees on Saturday.

“We’ve had to adapt at the front end of the pitch,” added Potter. “Evan coming in will give us another option, and he’ll bring his own quality. He’s a good finisher and can link up play well, so when we’ve got Crysencio Summerville back as well we’ll be strong up there.

“He’s trained well. He hasn’t played loads of football recently, so we have to be careful with that.

“He’s shown his quality, and is ready to help the team, and we feel he’ll just get better and better.”
