West Ham release powerful video to raise awareness over suicide prevention and support those affected.
Mental Health is something that affects us all, even if we don’t realise it, and unfortunately many of us have diagnosed or undiagnosed mental illnesses.
In the UK, suicide is the biggest killer in men under 50, with nearly ¾ of suicides being in men.
However, it’s an issue that anyone can struggle with, and it still remains a taboo in modern society
Thankfully, West Ham are doing their bit to try and change that, by releasing an extremely moving video titled “heirlooms”. The video was released in partner with Suicide&Co, a charity who help support those bereaved by suicide.
“Together, we can break the stigma surrounding suicide and provide the support those experiencing loss truly need,” the club wrote.
West Ham always has been a family, and a family supports those around them. We strongly encourage you to watch the video, and if you are struggling with suicide in any shape or form please do reach out to get the help you deserve.
