West Ham prepare for a financial crash ahead of the Summer transfer window.

Over the past few Summers, West Ham have consistently spent big money to try and improve their squad. Unfortunately, Tim Steidten’s and Julen Lopetegui’s attempt to do so ahead of the current season has failed miserably, arguably putting the squad in a worse place than it was beforehand.

Ultimately, Graham Potter will be hoping that the board with allocate him a similar sort of transfer budget to rebuild once again. However, this may not be possible,

According to Sean Whetstone, due to a lack of European football, West Ham are expecting a huge drop in profit this season, with losses of between £60-80 million being likely.

The last of the Rice money has gone too which is also another reason as to why they’ve gone from profit to heavy losses.

With them potentially being able to get a nice sum for Nayef Aguerd, as well as holding out for Mohammed Kudus’ release clause, Potter could still end up with a nice kitty but, for now, it doesn’t look great.
