West Ham target Millwall’s former Tottenham defender.
If nothing else except the fact that they have always been a much better team, West Ham have done very little business with Millwall historically. The only recent example is David Martin, but that was hardly a high-profile deal.
Obviously, transferring directly between the two will see you despised by the club you leave, and players are very wary about making the move.
Despite this, West Ham have reportedly shown interest in Millwall’s ex-Spurs defender Tanganga.
After failing to impress for 4 years in the Premier League, the now-25-year-old went on loan to Millwall last season before joining permanently in the Summer.
Although he’s impressed as of late, the fact he wasn’t able to break into Spurs’ squad probably suggests that he isn’t likely to be Premier League quality. With that being said, a couple of years in the second division can do wonders for a player.
