West Ham United could make a move for Juventus winger Francisco Conceicao this summer, according to a report from JuveFC.com.
Everyone knows West Ham will need a striker or two in the summer. However, we might need some other attacking reinforcements this summer with Paqueta’s future still unknown and Mohammed Kudus’ release clause amid Saudi interest.
Off the back of scoring the only goal in a top-of-the-table clash with Inter Milan on Sunday night, Portugal International Conceicao has been linked with a move to the Premier League.
Fulham and Wolves have reportedly joined the Hammers in ‘keeping tabs’ on the 22-year-old. However, at the moment, he looks more likely to make a move to AC Milan or remain at Juventus. Conceicao seems to be enjoying life in Italy so far, also, his father Sergio, who also managed him at Porto, is currently manager of AC Milan.
The winger is still a Porto player, he joined the Old Lady on a season-long loan and will return to Portugal in the summer. So far, he has had a decent time in Turin scoring 5 goals and providing 5 assists in 26 appearances so far.
One of Conceicao’s biggest pluses is his availability, he is yet to have a serious injury. The longest injury of his career so far kept him out for 39 days. A player who is very talented, young, and has a good injury record seems like the exact type of player Graham Potter wants to bring to West Ham. However, he is a right-winger. If West Ham have one position they are absolutely stacked in, it’s the right wing.
Jarrod Bowen will almost definitely be a West Ham player next summer. Kudus’ future looked set to be elsewhere. However, this season, he hasn’t performed well enough for anyone to trigger his £85m release clause, so he, too, will likely be here next season.
If we’re looking for wide talent, it would make a lot more sense for the Hammers to target a left winger. Crysencio Summerville is the only recognised left-winger at the club, and he has had a tough season with injuries, so it would make sense to sign another in the summer.
